Tim McGorty

I am a passionate creative writer, producer and director -- as well as a webcasting consultant with 12+ years experience as a operations manager, event planner and road warrior that worked with an amazing team of streaming producers at Thomson Reuters, Nasdaq, and West Corporation (a.k.a. Intrado -- now Notified).
Since August 2020, I have been working with the Nasdaq Board Engagement team -- providing digital questionnaire solutions for our world's leading Directors and Officers.
I am always learning new things and bringing past experiences and skills with me wherever I go.
I was raised in a musical family and learned to play multiple instruments over the years (my favorites being piano, sax, and drums).
In high school I enjoyed participating in musical theater productions, where I played the role of Reverend Shaw in Footloose, The Baker in Into The Woods, and J.P. Biggley in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
In 2006 I played alto sax with a Duke Ellington Tribute band in West Palm Beach and I currently play synthesizer and sax with a band called Family Video based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In 2014, I composed and digitally orchestrated a feature length movie soundtrack for an independent film. Click here to listen to the movie soundtrack.
Tim Sparks Music LLC was formed in 2021 after creating a simple new years resolution to "do more with music". Music has always been a part of me and always will be. I am actively seeking new projects to build my portfolio, expand my knowledge, and share my music with the world.
